Finding our groove..

The school year has started. I am building the kiddo bugs curriculum and reviewing what he remembers from first grade. Thankfully because we home school and go year round he is on track! So proud of all his hard work!  After being without a doctor for 3 months I am finally being seen again. My levels arent that good and I go in later this week for more tests and a "Come to Jesus meeting." I'm not really being scolded, but I know my doctor plans to bring down the hammer. However, I have already changed my eating habits, I am working out again, now that my heart is better and I have lost and kept off the weight. Injuries and chest pains have kept me sidelined. Last night was a good workout. I can still lift my normal weight, my distance on the treadmill fell short a little and time wasn't as good, but I will get back to my times. I'm not upset about it, I'm in no rush to beat my times. I'm just doing this for my health. We all workout as a family and I love...

The loss of a best friend.

I've been sitting on this for quite some time. My world was rocked when I got that phone call my childhood best friend left this world too early.  I had just spoken to her two days before. We had our usual witty banter, caught each other up on what was going on in our life. How incredibly happy she was. We spoke about food and the many delicious things there were to eat here in Texas. We were planning her trip to come see my family and I. I didn't know until after her passing, but my mom and Ashley were planning on surprising me for my birthday and  having her fly out. We had so many plans still. So many more girls nights we wanted to have. Late night trips to Taco Bell, night walks by the river or beach. Camping under the stars and talking until the sun comes up.  Ashley was there for me, it didn't matter what time it was, if she was eating. She would drop everything.  Through my cancer, break ups, bullying, when I moved to Texas and was all alone. Sh...
I am intrigued by the art of couponing. I have spent most of my day reading up on this and I am convinced I need to take up this art. However I already save big on cleaning products so I wont buy anything there and dogs are on a strict diet and special dog food, so no savings there.  Game plan is to make a monthly menu, list what ingredients I will need and go from there. We live in a big enough place that I can store a lot in the pantry and our extra freezer. Now to find some delicious slow cooker meals and healthy lunch/dinner options. Now to plan. Spam me with your favorite sites and blogs for meal prep, coupons and so on!

Clueless.

I am clueless as how to go about blogging. What do I share about my life? When is it too much information? I have ideas as to where I'd like this to lead. Will it go there? Who knows. All I can do is just try. I have been quietly launching my own business. So far its been going well. Once all the kinks are smoothed out I will do a grand opening. I am blessed to have family and friends supporting me throughout this. To have this freedom and time with the kiddo is incredible! I still have a long road ahead of me. I am currently in school and that will take some time but its so worth it! I can do this!

What's with these titles?

Its been a busy summer. Days spent by the pool, playing basketball, fishing and grilling and spending time with family. We have made a lot of new friends here in our new neighborhood and so glad we made the move when we did!  I have been taking time to myself to study and work. Business is going well and I also booked some photography gigs. I haven't been as active with my photography and have been doing some shoots but only for privet clients. My next big shoot is coming up in October and this one has me really excited! Stay tuned and I will share some shots if my client signs a release! Time for bed. We have a early start tomorrow.

A lot has happened since my last post! For one, I married my best friend November 11th of 2016! We moved! I have made some beautiful friendships and have been studying to further my career. We are planning one incredible trip (Wont say the location just yet)  I am currently working of my business right now. Trying to better my knowledge and grow my base. Things look bright! Working out has been put on hold, I ended up having to go to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack, Thankfully it wasn't. I actually just pulled check muscles. Go figure. However we learned from my full body scan that I am very healthy. Which was refreshing news to receive since I've had health issues for the last 3 years. My hard work is paying off! So, no more surgeries and medicines have tapered down. (Thank God!) My doctor is very pleased with that news. I plan on hitting the gym again, but not as hard until I can heal my chest muscle. I went the other day and just couldn't do what I ...
